Here are my achievements in 2003...

2003 January

• Won the first international title of her career at the 17th SALK tournament in Sweden. As her ITF ranking was only 790, Melanie had to play in the qualifying rounds where she won through to the main draw where she continued her winning streak and finally defeated Carina Bjormstrom in the final to take the title.

• At the second tournament in Sweden, the VASTERAS INTERNATIONAL, Melanie won through to the Semi Final and the Doubles Final (teaming up with Georgia Smith).

By doing so well in Sweden, Melanie achieved her first target and increased her Junior World Ranking by over 500 hundred places from 790 to 264 (13th January 2003)

• Increase Senior World Ranking
• Represent Great Britain at home and abroad
• Represent Great Britain at the Wimbledon Championships
